Prepaid legal programs include licensed attorneys at several law offices throughout the United States. Those who would like to purchase a plan sign up for the service and pay a specified monthly fee. The fee goes to paying the attorneys who are members of the program and who service the members of the program.

Members who remit the fee each month will be allotted the services. Prepaid legal services are available for individuals and families. As long as the monthly fee is up to date, any time a member needs services, she or he can call the local office specified in the Hyatt Prepaid Legal Services welcome package and speak to a licensed attorney.

How do I enroll in the Hyatt Legal Plan?

Those who are employed by a member organization will be offered the service as a benefit of their employment. Qualifying employees simply enroll through their employing establishment and the employer will deduct the fee each pay period. All employees who are enrolled in the service during employment with said organization will be enrolled as long as employment is active.

Do I have to pay a fee when I utilize the services?

For services such a document review, telephone and office consultations, and document preparation, there is not an additional fee. However, if a member is in need of filing personal bankruptcy, the member must remit the fee for the class, and the filing fee. The remainder of the legal services are paid for by the Hyatt Legal Plan fund.

Can I enroll in the Hyatt Legal Plan if I am not employed by a member organization?

Unfortunately, at this time Hyatt Legal Plan is not accepting new individual members. Individuals who would like to enroll in the plan and are employed by a member organization can enroll either him or herself as well as any qualifying dependents. Anyone who would like to enroll in a prepaid legal plan and is not employed by a member organization will need to conduct an Internet search to find the similar services.
